Creating Future MurderersIts your boy BigBizznas sounding off on the things in our world that don’t make any sense what so ever. I really want all of the parents reading this column to pay very close attention.
We can all say with out a doubt that we live in a very violent time, but did you ever question where all of the murderers and other people committing violent crimes come from? Everything has a beginning. In order to become a malfunctioning adult, one that likes to execute harm on fellow humans, the behavior had to start somewhere.
Well, in Waycross, GA, we got a chance to see future candidates for the FBI’s most wanted list. A group of third graders plotted to attack their teacher. They brought a broken stake knife, handcuffs and duct tape. They assigned their fellow third graders different tasks including covering the windows of the classroom.
Someone please tell me how little eight year olds plot and plan to stab their teacher to death? You have to understand this is not a spontaneous act of violence. This didn’t happen as a quick reaction to something the children thought was unfair. All that really did happen was that the teacher scolded one of the students for standing on a chair. She rightfully did so to protect the child from hurting themselves and to be sure that the class was paying attention to the lesson. So, when a teacher performs their job properly, they now have to worry about bodily harm or even much worse death. Is that where we are now?
THAT’S BULLSH*T……
I point the finger of blame for these third graders, (and anybody like them), on the parents. Yeah, the parents. It is solely the parents fault for letting their kids develop the mind frame of…well… basically a killer. How could this happen you ask? Well, well, well!
First of all, as parents we let our kids take in too much violent media, movies, video games, and television. If you choose to allow your children to watch these types of programs, all of this glorified violence, do we spend time with them? Do we talk to them and see if it is affecting them in a negative way? Is it affecting the way they interact with other kids, other adults, or persons in authoritative positions? Do we hear our children say things like “Oh I don’t like my stupid teacher” or “I should bust you in your mouth”?
Recently, Barack Obama and Bill Cosby put parents on blast. They said we need to start being more of a parent and really getting at our kids about education and conduct.
